Loran Knol

I am a PhD student in clinical neuroscience at the Donders Institute in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, working under Andre Marquand, PhD. My research focuses on the prediction of someone’s mental health through the analysis of their smartphone usage. We make these predictions by constructing a digital profile, also known as a digital phenotype, of their smartphone typing behaviour.

As I am writing this, I am on my two-year visit to the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) to continue my research under the co-supervision of Alex Leow, MD PhD. Friends and family can read about my adventures by clicking ‘Posts’ in the top-right. Anyone that would like to know more about my research is invited to email me at loran[dot]knol[at]donders.ru.nl .
